OpenBudget

OpenBudget is an open source envelope budgeting platform inspired by YNAB and GoodBudget.

I made this project because I want to share my passion for budgeting with other people. Unfortunately, the good apps are locked behind a paywall while the free alternatives are mostly bad. Why can't we have something that's both good and free?

I decided to go open source because I think a project like this would benefit from getting the community involved in its development. Also, I think this is too much for just one person to do.

OpenBudget is split into 2 repositories:

• https://github.com/obudget/core is the backend of OpenBudget. It is written in Elixir / Phoenix.
• https://github.com/obudget/ui is the frontend of OpenBudget. It is written in ReactJS.
