We offer tasty, healthy and natural food and organize different activities to encourage culture & art and build a community based on love and friendship. We want to make a difference for tourism and locals in one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen.

Stage 1 - with bold vision in our heart and the support of loving investors and life savings, we broke ground, built and created el meraki. Stage 2 - with the Café opened and weekly cultural events in motion, we began building a beautiful customer and friend base. The dream is coming to life! Now we are at Stage 3 - learning of how to survive during the low season. So, now we humbly are asking for support, a monthly contribution to help keep our doors opened.

The challenge: Currently we are going through the challenge of the low season, the extent of which has surprised us. There are weeks when the income is not even enough to pay the employees' salaries and rent on time. The situation is acute and if it doesn't improve over the next few weeks, we will have to think about closing.

Situation on Isla Mujeres: Isla Mujeres is still a tourist island, but in the last four months of the year, income has fallen by up to 70 % on the whole island, which puts many locals in a difficult situation. For our part, we are doing everything we can to join forces and stand on our own two feet, by doing extra work, pay attention to resources, reduce costs and take further measures. But it is not enough!

Your contribution: Your consistent donation will assure us that our doors will stay opened, our staff will be paid, our rent will be covered and we'll keep running and growing.

Our goal: With 1'700 USD monthly we can make sure to pay all our operating costs. That's a 72 friends donating just 25 USD a month.
