Keeping independent phones alive

Hi, I'm Sebastian, a physics student from Vienna. In my spare time I develop and maintain free, open-source software for Sailfish OS and other alternative mobile platforms, including the Nokia N9's MeeGo Harmattan — devices and systems that big companies abandoned long ago, but that many people still love and use daily.

harbour-whatsapp — a native WhatsApp client for Sailfish OS, in very active development with features driven directly by community requests harbour-jitsi — native video calls on Sailfish OS Keyboard language packs for the OKBoard swipe keyboard (Turkish, Russian, Finnish, Hungarian, and counting) Community device ports bringing current Sailfish OS to older hardware, work in progress Two dozen smaller apps, patches and tools across Sailfish OS and MeeGo Harmattan

Everything I make is free — no ads, no tracking, no paid versions, source on GitHub. Donations aren't required for anything: they simply help cover test devices and the many evenings that go into debugging, and they tell me which projects matter to people.
