Hey y'all!
My name is Andrew Weisbeck and I am a 34 year old full stack software developer, currently residing in Durham, NC. I have been struggling with housing fo rover two and a half years, but have managed to continue contributing to open source software projects, creating my own apps, and learning along the way through all the ups and downs.
Supporting myself and my partner has been extremely difficult given our circumstances, and I have even gone through dozens of job interviews and an overarching theme is that employers keep telling me I need housing. While we are on a housing wait list, I can't make our situation change immediately.
I would be grateful for any support you can offer to help me get by during these difficult times. It would help me work more on open source software and finding jobs rather than panhandling, working odd jobs, and dumpster diving to get by. I post to creator platforms and also have some projects I am trying to get going as well.
